A seminar of Prof. TIOW-GAN ONG from Institute of Chemistry, Academia Sinica, Taiwan
Prof. Tiow-Gan Ong from Academia Sinica, Taiwan visited INOMAR center on April 2nd, 2019. Prof. Ong delivered a report entitled "The chemistry of Carbone and Implication in Catalysis and Structure" and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of INOMAR.
Prof. Ong is now an Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Chemistry, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, and also holds the rank of Associate Professors in the Department of Chemistry, Taiwan National Chiao Tung University. He received his Ph.D. Chemistry from the University of Kentucky, the USA in 2000. Several of his research interests are Organometallic Chemistry, Molecular ligand design based N-heterocyclic carbene platform and fundamental probe on the C-H bond activation. Up to now, Prof. Ong has published nearly 50 research papers on some prestige international scholastic journals including J. Am. Chem. Soc., J. Med. Chem., Organic Letters.
