Thach N. Tu and Nhung T.T. Nguyen have received PhD degree
The two Ph.D. students of INOMAR, Thach N. Tu and Nhung T.T. Nguyen have received their Ph.D. degree on April 28 and May 16, 2017 accordingly. They are the first PhD students graduated from MANAR Ph.D. Program with the research centered on synthesis and application of Metal-Organic frameworks.
Both young scientists have succeeded to publish several peer review papers in high impact factor journals: Thach is the first author of the two papers in Catalysis Science and Technology (IF = 5.287) and Journal of Materials Chemistry A (IF = 8.262); Nhung is also the first author of 3 papers, in J. Am. Chem. Soc. (IF=12.113), in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed (IF=11.261) and in Inorg. Chem. (IF=4.82).
During the PhD course at INOMAR Thach and Nhung spent a year at the Lab of Prof. Omar Yaghi in UC Berkeley where they had a great chance to learn how to carry out world class science.
Dr. Thach now is the group leader of research group for Synthesis and Applications of Metal-Organic Frameworks for Sustainable Energy Conversion at INOMAR while Dr. Nhung currently works as a lecturer in Chemistry at the Can Tho University.
With their well-trained skill, we believed that Thach and Nhung will perform their career well in the new research position.
Please join us to congratulate Thach and Nhung!
